We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you submit your personal details to our Company. We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorised access, alteration or destruction of personal data we store.
Project files and Client information associated with them are kept in accordance with RICS and RIBA recommendations for a maximum of 15 years. All confidential information is disposed of either by shredding or archiving in a secure and locked file.
We also maintain information provided to us for job vacancies for two years, should a suitable opportunity come up in the future. Employees personal information is kept in a secure and locked file and will be held for the period of their employment with us and for up to 7 years thereafter for legal / reference purposes.
Sharing Personal Information
During certain projects, we may be required to share personal information with third parties such as Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Sub-Consultants and other parties that may need to visit / contact you. This information will only be shared in prior agreement with you and only as the project requires; We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. Should you not wish for us to share your details with third parties such as these, please inform your Project Manager.
We also use social media (Facebook & LinkedIn) to share project updates, case studies and testimonials. Every effort will be made to anonymise our social media updates but, on the occasion that a reference needs to be made, this will be done only with your permission. Information we may use on social media includes project details, photographs / video and Client testimonials.
On occasion, we may contact individuals who have expressed an interest in our services at an event or similar so that we may respond to their enquiry. An opportunity to unsubscribe from such communication will be provided with every email we send out.
Under the Data Protection Act 1998, you may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information by looking for the box on our website forms that indicate you do not want this information to be used for marketing purposes. If you have previously agreed for us to use your personal information for marketing purposes, you may change your mind by writing to us.
